We take data and data privacy very seriously. We will never store any information about our customers without informing you of the data, its type and content beforehand and we would never hold anything about you against your will. This policy outlines the type of data we collect and how we hold it. Our aim is to be as transparent as possible.

Your information is very important and highly sensitive. Protecting any information you give us, is of paramount concern and we will only use information you provide to us, in the ways disclosed in this policy.

If you require any clarification on how we collect data, why we collect data, how it is stored and protected or anything with regard to data privacy at all, simply head over to the contact page and ask us!

Further to the information on this page you can find out mroe on our privacy collection and policy in general by downloading our free policy document here.

What Data is Collected?

We collect information provided by you when you contact us. This can be via email, online form or purchasing from Infinity Electronics Ltd. Occasionally our retail partners may share information with us when purchases are made, support is requested or a return/refund request is made.

When contacting us or speaking with our friendly staff, you may be asked for your: name, e-mail address, phone number(s) and some general basic information.

The information we collect is kept to a minimum and is always relative to the process it relates to. This information only pertains to you and any requests or transactions you make. Each transaction and/or request for information, is treated individually and the contents of this are not disclosed to any other party. The information is important as it enables us to assist customers as quickly as possible and it also provides the data our customers see when they log into their account to view their account information, order history or any ongoing contacts they have. To provide this service, we need to collect some basic personal and financial information to serve our customers.

What is the Data used for?

We use provided data for transactions. Order processing companies such as VISA, American Express or even PayPal require information from the buyer (in this case that's you) so that they can check and process the financial information accordingly and you can actually pay for the item(s) you want.

Additionally, some customers want to create an account - similar to how they would with any online store - so to provide this service, we need some basic Personal, Postal and Financial information in order to create an account that a customer can log into and manage.

The information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:

  1. Your information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever, without your implicit consent, other than for the purpose of delivering the purchased product(s) and/or service(s). This might include providing your postal and contact information to a courier.

(Please note that upon placing an order you agree to us sharing basic Contact and Postal information to a courier or any other party required to process, deliver and complete your order)

  2. To send periodic e-mails such as e-Newsletters, order tracking information or similar important communications from Infinity.
  3. The e-mail address you provide will only be used to send you information and updates pertaining to the services you register for. We will never send you any SPAM.

How do we Protect your Data?

We operate a secure and highly encrypted database that stores all our customer and marketing information. When registering for Newsletters or requesting a quote, your information is sent to our database. The database runs the latest secure protocols and encryptions that ensure it is PCI compatible.

Your might be asking "What is PCI?"

PCI is one of the most secure and widely used security measures for storing and using data (usually data pertaining to people or finances) and is widely used by Credit Card companies. Compliance with this ensures information is safe and secure to the highest security clearances. We conform to the same level of security as payment companies do. To keep data secure and away from anyone with criminal intentions, weekly backups of the database are made and stored on our main servers in the US and the UK. These backups prevent data loss and restrict the possibility of hackers stealing data. The information you provide to us will always be kept safe and secure.

A common question we are asked is

"Do you use Cookies?"

The simple answer is no we do not use cookies. You see; cookies are a way for a website to monitor web pages that visitors regularly click to. This enables the owners of the website to build up an idea of what sort of things interest customers (such as you) on the internet. A website will download a hidden file, or series of files, to your computer and update them as you click through the website; they can then use this data to promote things they think you might be interested in buying.

We do not like this practice and we do not do it.

We are also asked regularly if we disclose any information to outside parties. Again we can reassuringly inform you that we do not do this. We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information.
