Product Warranty Terms

Infinity Electronics Ltd (known as "Infinity") in accordance with various country laws such as in the UK, offers a global consumer warranty for any product; hardware, software or service which is provided free of charge when said product is purchased directly from Infinity or its retail partners. The warranty outlines and covers the rights of the consumer and the obligations of Infinity. This is in place to ensure the correctness and operation of the purchased product for the duration of the warranty. Infinity, in accordance with various country laws such as in the UK, agrees to a quibble-free refund of defective goods or goods which do not conform with the contract of sale. Infinity obligations for these rights expire 3 years (36 months) from the original purchase date (the date the order was placed, not payment processed date or product received date) irrespective of whether additional warranty packages have been purchased for the product.

Warranty Duration

Warranty Provided upon Purchase

All Infinity products are covered with a 1 Year (12 month) warranty that becomes active at the moment a product is ordered. When ordering online from Infinity or an Infinity retail partner, the warranty is activated from the moment the order (checkout process) is completed. This may mean warranties are started before payments are processed and/or products are received.

The warranty ensures any products ordered and/or paid for must be delivered to the customer (via post or physically handed to customer) in the condition advertised of the product. The product, upon initial operation, must look and feel and behave and adhere to the conditions advertised on the product. This is known as the Contract of Sale. The legal disclaimers may confirm some elements of a product may differ, such as specific features, aesthetics or other small details compared to the advertised product; however outside of these variables the product should be within its promised state.

If a product is handed to you, or delivered to you, in a damaged or inoperable condition, this is known as defective or Dead on Arrival ("DOA"). Your warranty, having already been active, ensures you can return the product for a Brand New Replacement or return it for a full refund. Depending on when your initial payment is processed, it may take many days for moneies to leave your account and then be returned.

Please Note:- shipping costs at the point of sale (such as online) or any return costs a customer bears to return a product to Infinity, are not refunded.

Extending a Warranty

Warranty Provided after Purchase

Some Infinity products, at the moment of purchase, are supplied with a 2 Year (24 month) or 3 Year (36 month) warranty that becomes active at the moment a product is ordered. When ordering online from Infinity or an Infinity retail partner, the warranty is activated from the moment the order (checkout process) is completed. This may mean warranties are started before payments are processed and/or products are received.

To provide extra reassurance and support; warranties can be extended by the purchase of Warranty Packages. these support products can be purchased in 2 Year (24 month) or 3 Year (36 month) increments and become active at the moment the order (checkout process) is completed. The warranty extends the support services offered by Infinity for the additional time periods as per the ordered package.

For example, if a product with a 1 Year (12 month) warranty has a 2 Year (24 month) package ordered with it, the customer would receive a 3years (36 months) of support services from Infinity.

For example, if a customer has had an Infinity product for 6 months and they choose to purchase a 2 Year (24 month) package, they would continue to receive their Infinity support services for another 30 months. This is because they had 6 months of their initial warranty remaining and had just purchased an additional 2 Years (24 months) of support.

Please Note:- whilst warranty packages extend the support services such as PRRP, they do not extend the indemnity period for the lapse of post-sales support obligations for Infinity. Regardless of however manay warranty package extensions are purchased for a product, liability and obligations for a product expire 3 Years (36 months) from the original order date.

Claim Period

Claiming to Return a Product

If a product arrives outside of its contract of sale promise, a customer may request to return it for a refund or to exchange it for a replacement Brand New equivalent model. To do this, simply contact Infinity from the Support or Contact pages with your Order Date, Product Model, and Serial Number and request to either return the product for a refund or return it so Infinity can replace it for a Brand New model (or equivalent).

A customer has 14 days from the point of receipt of the product, to make a claim. Failure to do so means you legally and contractually accept the product has arrived within its contract of sale promise.

Should a request be made after the 14 day period elapses, with the warranty still active, the request is treated as a standard warranty claim for PRRP or similar. A customer has until the expiry of the warranty to request anything of Infinity. After 3 Years (36 months) have elapsed since the order date of the product, Infinity has no obligation to provide any support or assistance in these matters.

Warranty Claim

A customer has until the expiry of the original warranty to inform Infinity of any defects or potentially serious situations of the product. Infinity is not liable for anything if a warranty is not active or has not been extended. From purchase, a customer has 1 Year (12 months) from the order date to inform Infinity of any defects, faults or loss of operation to a product. A PRRP request must then be made.

If the warranty is extended, a PRRP request can be made whilst the extended warranty is active. Warranties must have been activated for 1 day (24 hours) or more prior to any request being made. If this is not the case, then it is assumed warranties are being abused for the sake of a request of new parts/products and these requests will be denied and ignored.

How to Make a Claim

To Make a claim, simply contact Infinity from the Support or Contact pages with your Order Date, Product Model, and Serial Number and details of your request. Infinity may ask you for more information so please provide this otherwise the request cannot be processed.

Warranties only attempt to make good a product. They do not attempt to return a product to a Brand New condition but merely aid to ensure operability of the product. Unless arriving outside of contract of sale promises, any defects or blemishes or aesthetic/cosmetic imperfections are ignored and treated as general wear and tear of a product. Photos of receiving a product must be provided if a request for a Brand New replacement (contract of sale breach) is reported.
