Intelligent Search

Intelligent Search is a detailed search tool that searches footage and data on a forensic level. You can customise your search query and peramters in such a way that specific and detailed searches can result in quickly retrieved video footage that can contain faces or number plates. Infinity VSaaS supports MetaData from all cameras, which is used in addition to video streams to provide more information on surveyed areas. MetaData can provide instant information such as whether a Face or Number Plate is currently in view. Searching within Infinity VSaaS is so fast because it is used the metadata to quickly reference every ounce of recorded footage to match against the search parameters provided. Metadata searching is infinitely quicker than conventional footage frames. This means regardless of what you are searching for, you will accurate results in a fraction of the time compared to other systems.

Faces and Facial information is a form of Biometrics, similar to fingerprints. The metadata for faces and facial information is stored as specific markers within the archive of recorded footage, and the metadata provides brief descriptions of all faces in the field of view. Intelligent Search allows you to upload a picture of a person of interest and then you can let the system investigate and filter recorded video by % similarity. For example, scan a passport photo of a person you want to look for, specify how closely you want to search for faces that resemble the passport photo and Intelligent Search will display results within seconds!

Edge Storage Support

Infinity VSaaS can connect to storage solutions that are embedded in cameras. For example, onboard SD cards. You can watch, export and copy video from SD cards. Have you ever thought of synching edge storage and the main archive? All too often, the connection between the camera and the server is lost for a short time at a critical site, such as an airport or another transport hub. What about the video recorded during this network failure? As soon as the connection is restored, the edge storage (on the camera) synchronizes with the central storage (on the server), resulting in a seamless, gap-free video recording.

The way the camera storage can talk to your system is specified in the ONVIF Profile G standard. Infinity Video solutions are the first in the world to make it to ONVIF Profile G. The number of ONVIF-compatible cameras is growing fast. Now with ONVIF Profile S and Profile G incorporated intrinsically, all devices conforming to ONVIF can be incrementally added to your video surveillance systems powered by Infinity.

Replication is also a doddle and there are an array of options available to you. Copy any data to any storage! With redundancy; storage, video, audio and metadata are automatically synced between the main video archive (or multiple archives) and another user-specified storage, including NAS. Infinity VSaaS meets the Connection Lost challenge!

Modern GUI

Infinity VSaaS features a completely new streamlined and responsive GUI that makes it easy and fast for operators to perform their jobs, solving a number of surveillance-related tasks.

Custom Layouts

Monitors and video cameras may have different aspect ratios - 4:3, 5:4, 16:9, and others. As a result, the images from the cameras may be laid out on the screen unevenly, with large empty spaces. In order to choose how you want camera windows to fit on the screen, you can create custom layouts within Infinity VSaaS. Thanks to its browser-based architecture you can literally have unlimited monitors and windows! As many monitors and windows as your PC hardware supports, can be used by Infinity VSaaS as part of your display.

Custom layouts allow placing cameras on the screen in any arrangement. Viewing tiles can have varying aspect ratios and are automatically configured. Make efficient use of screen space by mixing and matching cameras with diverse aspect ratios. Want to view dewarped video from a fisheye camera? Choose a full-screen panoramic view or two 180° views!

What if you know something is happening on a camera, but this camera view is not on-screen now? Simply type the camera name in the search bar and switch to the hotspot on-the-fly. The selected camera window comes on your screen in a layout with other viewing tiles. If the appropriate layout does not yet exist, the system creates a new layout with a single camera view.

If you want more information on your custom layout, add dashboards. Dashboards are information panes with system events, server health status, camera health status, webpages, etc.

Users with appropriate rights may open and use their custom layouts and those of other users on any client in the system.

Failover & Redundancy

Uh oh.....Server down? No recordings for critical episodes? ... The failover capabilities of Infiniy VSaaS are unmatched by any other security system on the market! They take you to the next galaxy of stability, continuity and performance.

Infinity VSaaS achieves failover and redundancy in two ways; depending on whether you have any on-site hardware or not.

On-Site Mode:

When you choose to have Infinity VSaaS on-site hardware (either only on-site or as part of a hybrid system setup), the system can either be deployed on a single hardware platform (such as a server) or as a distributed system (many servers). When we talk about servers for failover and redundancy, we call these "nodes" which is just a fancy name for talking about servers.

In a single server setup (which we shall call "n" where n = 1 node), you would deploy a secondary server and configure your system so if your main server had a problem, it would simply kick in the backup server to come online and you maintain your system 'uptime'. We call this configuration "n+1" where we have one server (called a node, n for short) and one backup server which is represented by the number 1. So n+1 means one server (node) and 1 backup server (1).

In a distributed system where you have many servers, you would choose how many backup servers you want. This choice might be influenced by how many cameras (and storage) you have, how many of those cameras are critical and thus must always be online and recording and of course consider the client themselves and how important it is for their CCTV system to be online and recording and accessible. In a fairly small distributed system where you have less than 5 servers, it is fairly common to just have 1 backup server so if any of your 5 (or less) servers were to fail, you have a backup server that can be kicked in to take the place of that server. This is called, n+1 where we have a system of nodes (n) and 1 backup server (1).

If you have a larger distributed system where you have more than 5 servers or your system is critical and you cannot afford to have any of your servers go down, then you could choose to have a backup server for every server; that way if any server had a problem and went down then it has a backup server readily available! We call this configuration "n+n" where every node (n) has a backup server (n).

Whichever configuration you choose, the backup server automatically takes over all functions from the off-line / malfunctioning server. A special hypervisor service continuously monitors the health of all servers in your system. No matter what happens to the hardware and cables, you have live video on your screen and recorded video in the backup storage.

Cloud Mode:

When you choose to have Infinity VSaaS as a true cloud solution or as part of a hybrid solution; then your system management and camera storage and all system paremters are stored in the cloud. The way cloud works is to distribute and backup data all the time; just the same way as a search engine like Google or a streaming service like Netflix or Apple iTunes is always operational. The nature of cloud means every piece of data for your system is instantly backed up meaning if there was an outage, you have backup servers always online ready to kick in instantly meaning you suffer data loss or disruption.

Interconnected System Clients

Cross-System connectivity empowers users to connect to multiple servers on various domains and in different systems across a cloud deployment; from a single client workstation or smart device. All settings and cameras associated with these servers are consolidated in a single convenient view. That way you can access multiple independent surveillance systems simultaneously, even if the customer cannot or does not want to combine these systems.

What if you have geographically complex installations dispersed over great distances? Or you need to bulk configure security systems which are otherwise autonomous? You have police requests to hook up to security systems at different retail chains? Cross-System Client is the solution.

Video Analytics & Detection Tools

Infinity VSaaS has many Analytics tools inherently built in. With these powerful aids at your fingertips, you are able to investigate Audio and Video in greater detail that with just Live/Recorded Images alone.

Detection Tools within Infinity VSaaS:

• Video Motion Detection (VMD) - designate areas onscreen and the system will monitor changes in the scene and notify you when movement is detected
• Background Change Detection - the system learns the idle background imagery of a given camera, if someone tries to move, turn or cover up the camera then the system immediately notifies you
• Video Loss Detection - if network interference, or even if someone unplugs the camera, the system will instantly notify you if the quality of the video starts to worsen....you can even configure the tool so that if the image becomes blurred, distorted or noisy then it can notify you also
• Abandoned Object Detection - the system can identify when a new object enters a scene where it otherwise is not normally there and can alert you when this object is left; for example if someone leaves a bag or briefcase in a crowded area the system can notify you so you can react to a potentially explosive object
• Object Removal Detection - the system learns what objects should be present at all times in a given scene so if someone were to steal something, the system will instantly notify you of this
• Perimeter Protection - you are able to draw lines and boxes on the perimeter of your site and be notifed the moment objects of a certain size cross these lines or enter the boxes....in much the same way an intelligent fenceline operates
• Flow Control - if you have areas where people or vehicles should only be walking in a certain direction, such as corridors within an Aiport Terminal or Car Park Entrance/Exit for example, you can draw virtual lines that detect when objects cross them in the wrong direction
• Loitering - sometimes before committing criminal acts, people may appear in a scene and loiter so that they can survey where and when they might commit their act; the system can be configured to detect and notify you when this situation arises so that you can stop the criminal before they commit their act
• Smoke Detection - the system learns what smoke looks like visually in a scene and notifies you the moment it detects smoke in an area
• Flame Detection - the system learns what fire and flames looks like visually in a scene and notifies you the moment it detects fire/flames in an area

The second element of these Detection Tools is what happens after you have been notified. Infinity VSaaS can be configured with an array of automatic actions for each an every detection. Including:

• Start Recording - the moment the Detection Tool in question is activated, the selected camera will begin to record footage....you can even specify recording options for these scenarios to maximise resolution and frame rates for footage recorded in these situations
• Email - the system can send emails to user-provided email addresses when an Detection Tool is activated
• Cause & Effect - the system can be integrated with other systems and setup so that automatic actions can be activated when specific alarms occur; this could include unlocking all the Access Controlled doors, it could be to play a specific message on a Public Address (PAVA) system, it could be to arm the Intruder Alarm or anything else that you are integrated with
• Alarm/AUX - if your recording device is connected to some form of Alarm or I/O devie then you can send a signal to this automatically
• View Camera - if not already displayed, the activated camera will be displayed in the Layout screen
• PTZ Preset - if you have PTZs on site you can automatically get them to move to pre-defined preset positions depending on the alarm that is activated

Integrations & Automated Rules

Infinity VSaaS has a "drag and drop" feature which allows a user to integrate with thousands of third party systems without the need for specific coding or integrations that can take months and cost THOUSANDS! Simply you are givwen a canvas with multiple Infinity VSaaS components (icons) and you can draw lines, specify rules and create integrations and the specifying of a series of actions based on true logic (including IF... THEN conditions) for reacting to events or even combinations of events. All you need is a simple set of commands (called APIs) from the third party systems; these basically take two forms: SEND and RECEIVE. You either configure Infinity VSaaS to SEND something to a third party system and with an API you can tell the third party system to do something; or you can configure Infinity VSaaS to RECEIVE something from a third party system and with an API you can understand what is being sent to you and then you can configure Infinity VSaaS to do something. It is the quickest, easiest and most comprehensive way to do integrations available in the market today!

Configurable Videowall

Infinity VSaaS has a Videowall built in! Unlike other systems that require you to run separate programs..... or even don't have it at all, Infinity VSaaS gives you an intrinsic way to control cameras and views across an unlimited number of monitors. By using a browser-based architecture, you can create views and layouts across monitors of unlimited size and number! These can be centrally managed from anywhere in the world....because it is cloud! Infinity Videowall is incredibly useful for managing extensive geographically complex sites with large monitoring hubs that require multilevel video monitoring. Sending a layout to an operator allows drawing that person’s attention to an event captured by one of the cameras in the layout. Similarly, an event can be shown to all operators by sending the relevant layout to a video wall.

Retrospective Offline Analytics

Infinity VSaaS lets you import digital Video files and run retrospective Video Analytics on them just as if it was live footage on the system! This feature is very useful for established surveillance systems with no tools for the quick archive analysis.

Hotkeys

Hotkeys and specialised keyboards make use of the system quicker and more convenient, improving operator reaction times as well: users can configure hotkeys – combinations of keyboard keys or joystick buttons – for triggering certain actions in the system. Infinity VSaaS can be controlled from both standard PC keyboards and special security keyboards connected to the system.

Hotkeys offer a quicker way of accessing frequently used commands, which reduces the time necessary for reacting in rapidly changing situations.

Face Search

Infinity VSaaS features a face capture and search algorithm, that automatically detects a face in the field of view or in a provided video footage of one or several cameras, and then searches for that same face in other video provided by networked cameras.

License and Registration Search

Infinity VSaaS features a number / license plate search algorithm, that detects a license plate in the field of view or in a provided video footage of one or several cameras. These license plate numbers are saved to a database and associated with the relevant recorded video from several cameras. The algorithm involves advanced heuristic methods (such as substitution of similar looking letters/numbers) to identify as many potential matches as possible.

Integration

Infinity VSaaS includes a range of features for getting events from various external devices and systems: cash registers, access control devices, third-party software, and more. This allows quickly integrating with third-party information systems used to protect your site. External events can be received, saved to a database and associated with recorded video. Events are text-searchable and can be displayed in real time in a separate viewing tile or as video captions.
