Heatherwood Hospital operates in the old "Heatherfield" estate which dates back to at least 1876. Originally a grand Victorian estate, the site was renamed Heatherwood by 1891 however due to private investment it was later sold and turned into a Hospital for children of active and ex-servicemen of the First World War (World War 1) in 1920. The hospital opened its doors to the wider general public and joine the NHS in 1948; for for 100 years Heatherwood has expanded with more departments and wards being added via more and more expansion.
The hospital has been in need for modernising and expansion for several years; Kier were awarded the contract to build the new hospital on the existing site, maintaining the name and presence of Heatherwood into a second century. As with any new build of this size and scale, several new specialist systems were required.

Infinity deployed several High Definition (HD) cameras across the building to ensure car parks, entrances/exits and corridors were protected.
